It’s back!; the second CMC trip to the highest mountains in Mexico. Orizaba, 3rd highest peak in North America and a country highpoint, is a straightforward climb on snow in good conditions. Izta has less snow climbing involved.

Skiers, snowshoers, nature lovers and photographers will all enjoy the convenient trails leading directly from the Yellowstone Snow Lodge to the geysers and waterfalls. Hike Scotland’s West Highland Way for 95 miles beside lochs, waterfalls, and craggy mountains in the Scottish Highlands. Then climb to the summit of “the Ben” (4,409 feet), weather permitting. High altitude mountaineering trip to one of the Seven Summits -- 18,510’ Mt. Elbrus -- the highest mountain in Europe and Russia. After the climb, take a Moscow city tour for a Russian cultural experience.
Climb one of the Seven Summits and best known mountains in the world during a 6-day climb of Kilimanjaro (19,340’) on the normal Machame Route. Then visit prime wildlife viewing areas of Africa during a 4-day safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater.
Celebrate Rocky Mountain National Park’s 100th anniversary by visiting the Park’s west side with its breathtaking natural beauty, stunning peaks, lesser used trails, and extensive moose habitat. For this year’s In-State Outing we will be staying at the Elk Creek Campgrounds, which is a short distance to the Park, the Indian Peaks Wilderness, and Grand Lake.
This classic trek to Everest Base Camp includes climbing to Gorak Shep and Kala Patar (18,000 ft.) with it’s stunning close-up view of Mt. Everest, as well as optional climbs of both Island Peak and Chukungukla. Other highlights include visiting Kathmandu, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche's famous monastery, the High Himalyan Rescue Station and Pheruche. A special visit to the village where our leader Pemba grew up culminates with having dinner with Pemba's mother!
The Tuscan countryside is
in many respects a cyclist’s dream – a heady mix of vineyards, olive
groves, poplars and cypresses, rolling hills and charming medieval hill
towns steeped in atmosphere and tradition. This bike tour explores the lesser known, but no less beautiful areas of Tuscany to the west of the renowned Siena region. The tour includes seven days of cycling with the opportunity to cycle three more days. In the seven cycling days we will cycle 254 miles, averaging 36 miles a day with a maximum day of 50 miles. We will have three optional days that can be used for rest, sightseeing, or cycling.
