Scorpion Gulch Utah Llama Trip

Enjoy five days of hiking through some of Utah's most famed slot canyons and pristine desert.  Base camp is in a side canyon of the Escalante River in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.  Llamas carry all camping gear and guides provide the meals -- what more can you ask?

Camino de Santiago: To the End of The Way

Join us for an 17-day adventure as we walk the Camino Frances (French Route) from the small town of Sarria in Spain to Santiago de Compostela, and then on to the coast at Finisterre and Muxia. Along the way we’ll stay in private albergues or small pensions, eat local specialties and experience a variety of fabulous scenery. Scotland's Highland Way and Ben Nevis Climb

Hike Scotland’s West Highland Way for 95 miles beside lochs, waterfalls, and craggy mountains in the Scottish Highlands.  Then climb to the summit of “the Ben” (4,409 feet), weather permitting. While hiking will be the trip’s focus, the group will also tour medieval Edinburgh, Stirling (famous for being the home of William Wallace), the Eliean Donan Castle in the Scottish Highlands, and a Scotch distillery. May 21-25, 2015  

Moab Mountain Bike/Hike Adventure - MMBHA

Our base camp outside Moab, UT is the perfect spot  hike and mountain bike.  There is no set itinerary, but each day we help participants to connect with other participants and find a ride or hike that best suits them.  All meals are served at a common time to build community and for convenience.  There is typically live music and a facilitated drum circle each night.  There are often yard games that can be played at the main camp. All Levels of hikers are welcome.  Mountain bikers should be comfortable on 4x4 roads. Novice bikers are welcome though they may choose to hike most days.

Yampa River/ Green River Rafting & Hiking

Five days of river rafting the Yampa River through Dinosaur National Monument with day hikes to historical sites, archeological sites, and other natural sites. World Summit Series: Mt. Kilimanjaro & Safari

Climb one of the Seven Summits and best known mountains in the world during a 6-day climb of Kilimanjaro (19,340’) on the normal Machame Route.  Then visit prime wildlife viewing areas of Africa during a 4-day safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater.

In-State Outing

Celebrate Rocky Mountain National Park’s 100th anniversary by visiting the Park’s west side with its breathtaking natural beauty, stunning peaks, lesser used trails, and extensive moose habitat. For this year’s In-State Outing we will be staying at the Elk Creek Campgrounds, which is a short distance to the Park, the Indian Peaks Wilderness, and Grand Lake. 


August 23-30, 2015 

Yosemite High Sierra Camps

Trek in Yosemite National Park’s spectacular mountain scenery, deep valleys, wild rivers, and grand meadows. This is a special opportunity to stay in the High Sierra Camps, a type of hut-to-hut system complete with bedding and meals, so you carry a daypack. CMC was fortunate to obtain reservations for the camps, as they are always in high demand.


August 29 - September 11 

Hiking the Hill Towns of Tuscany

Visit the beautiful Renaissance city of Florence, Italy with a guided tour and independent explorations. Hike in the surrounding hills. Travel to lovely Siena and take a self-guided walking tour  walk from one scenic Tuscan village to the next. Experience breathtaking scenery, eat and drink some of the finest food and wine there is. Stay in 3- and 4-star hotels, including restored villas, palaces, and even an active monastery. September 26 - October 11, 2015 

Turkey Hike and Culture

This trip includes four days of hiking in the unique desert region of Cappadocia and the Ihlara valley. Cappadocia is described as both a lunar landscape and a fairyland of bizarre geologic formations which have been carved by people for centuries as homes and safe havens. Then spend four days hiking on the spectacular coastal Lycian way. Visits to cultural and historic sites complete the trip, including Istanbul, Konya, and Ephesus. Click here for an itinerary.


September 12 - 27, 2015 

Tuscany Cycle Tour

The Tuscan countryside is in many respects a cyclist’s dream – a heady mix of vineyards, olive groves, poplars and cypresses, rolling hills and charming medieval hill towns steeped in atmosphere and tradition.  This bike tour explores the lesser known, but no less beautiful areas of Tuscany to the west of the renowned Siena region.  The tour includes seven days of cycling with the opportunity to cycle three more days. In the seven cycling days we will cycle 254 miles, averaging 36 miles a day with a maximum day of 50 miles. We will have three optional days that can be used for rest, sightseeing, or cycling. Best Hikes of Italy

Explore three distinctly different parts of Italy on this 13-day adventure: the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomite Region in the Alps of northwestern Italy, the Lake District (Lake Garda), and the UNESCO World Heritage Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera. Khumbu Everest Trek / Island Peak Climb

The classic trek to Everest Base Camp includes sightseeing in Kathmandu, hiking up the beautiful Dudh Kosi Valley to Namche Bazaar, Tengboche's  famous monastery, Pheriche and 18,000 ft. Kala Patar with it’s stunning close-up view of Mt. Everest. From there we will trek to Chukung for optional climbs of both Island Peak and Chukungukla.  Other highlights include visiting Kathmandu, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche's famous monastery, the High Himalyan Rescue Station and Pheruche. A special visit to the village where our leader Pemba grew up culminates with having dinner with Pemba's mother!

Anasazi Ruin Bike/Hike Adventure - ARBHA

Hike and bike in the Cedar Mesa Region of S.E. Utah on a supported camping trip.  Visit different and unique ruins and rock art every day in this unique canyon environment.


November 22 - December 13, 2015 

World Summit Series Cerro de Aconcagua, 22,841

Ascend the highest mountain in the Western & Southern hemispheres expedition style. Climb in stages, for acclimatization, with a base camp, two intermediate camps, and a high camp.  The whole trip is ~26 miles each way, 52 mi round trip and ~14,000’ elevation gain/loss. Mules will carry the heavy gear to base camp at (~14,300’) and back down.  Climbers carry all gear on the upper mountain above base camp.


April 23 -  May 5, 2016 

Grand Canyon Raft & Hike 2016

Take a motorized raft trip and add 5 extra days for hiking along the way.  This 12-day raft trip ends with a helicopter ride out of the canyon and a plane flight back to the put-in.  For B & C hiking levels.

Alta Via I in the Italian Dolomites
