Schools & Groups
The Colorado Mountain Club Youth Education Program (YEP) has been inspiring confidence and academic achievement through outdoor education since 1999.
YEP provides multidisciplinary education linking Colorado Academic Standards (CAS) with Colorado’s greatest natural resource: the mountains. Using an experiential approach YEP courses and camps are designed to present real-life examples of science, math, geography, history, and art in nature. The provision of a positive group learning environment, where youth interact with adult mentors and each other, enables the development of valuable life skills such as communication, confidence, and leadership, in addition to academic content.
Our programs take place at your school, at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden, or at a variety of Front Range field sites. Programs can last anywhere from one hour to one week!

"This was my favorite field trip I've ever taken a group of 6th graders on in my 12 years working as a 6th grade teacher. High energy, high interest, high level of learning. Loved it!" – Ingrid Sarasin, 6th grade teacher, Eldorado K-8
