Little Bear Trip Report

By Uwe Sartori and Sarah Maurer

By the time we reached the top of the ridge, dawn was breaking. The weather was on our side – partly cloudy high up, comfortable temps and a slight breeze. After a short break, we tackled the hike over to the base of the Hourglass. Getting to there was straightforward. Between keeping an eye on the route and sighting cairns, we moved efficiently into position for the next bit of fun. Read more...

Inn-to-Inn Hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park

September 13-16, 2015

European-style inn-to-inn hiking without going to Europe!

Experience the splendor of Rocky Mountain National Park in the autumn when temperatures are cool and colors are exploding. Hike European style Inn-to-Inn on some of the best and least-traveled trails in the Park. Our days are evenly paced with 7-10 miles of hiking where we will experience lush alpine meadows, clear rushing streams, waterfalls and rocky summits.

Sound good? It gets better. At each day's end, instead of setting up a tent, eating backpacking food and sleeping on the ground, we’ll arrive at an intimate lodge or B&B to enjoy a cold drink, a hot shower, a gourmet meal and a bottle of wine. We’ll finish off our day by retiring to our rooms and climbing into a cozy bed. In the morning after a delicious hot breakfast, we’ll meet our shuttle and head to the next hiking adventure.
