This is your year to get outdoors in Colorado's mountains! Maybe you’ve wanted to climb a fourteener. Perhaps rock climbing is more your style. Maybe you just want to know which wildflower is which.
Mountain Fest at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden
1 p.m. on Saturday, March 20
FREE and open to the public.
Be sure to bring your friends, and introduce them to the club you love.
Join us on the first day of spring for the sixth annual Mountain Fest. Free outdoor skills clinics (including “How to Climb a 14er,” nature photography, and many more), indoor rock climbing, and an expo featuring our popular hiking and mountaineering schools, conservation, mountaineering museum, adventure travel, youth education and much more.
Finish the day with a free happy hour.

1 p.m. DOORS OPEN
- Open rock climbing
- CMC Expo in conference center, including special CMC membership offers, educational classes, our popular hiking and mountaineering schools, Adventure Travel, Conservation, CMC Press books, Youth Education Program, the American Mountaineering Museum, and more.
2:00 p.m.
- Concurrent outdoor skills clinics: How to Climb a 14er; Get Fit for Adventure Sports; Nature Photography 101.
3:00 p.m.
- Concurrent outdoor skills clinics: Intro to GPS; Wildflower I.D.; Nutrition for Mountaineers; and Preventing Injuries in Adventure Sports
4:00 p.m.
- Concurrent outdoor skills clinics: Intro to Fly Fishing; Arm Chair Adventure to Montenegro; Rock climbing self-rescue; Geology of the Peaks.
