This group consists of families who gather together to enjoy the outdoors safely. Members consist of both single and two-parent families with kids. The group restarted in the fall of 2002 and is continually growing, originally tending to activities for adults and their kids from babies to early teens. Recently, with the dissolution of the Denver Juniors during the spring 2004 board meeting, CWK agreed to expand its role and encompass activities to include mid to late teenagers as well. One of our co-chairs is taking on this task as part of his Masters degree programs; it's success will depend on other volunteers and participation by CMC/CWKers willing to do so. Activities of this group are generally designed for the participation of the whole family. The group's special interest is family outings; they include overnight camping or "cabining", hikes, wall climbs, map and compass practices, etc. Please call (303) 279-3080, ext. 2, for more information on membership.
