Mark your calendars! The 2010 In-State Outing will be near Silverton, CO. This action-packed camping
excursion is open to all CMC members. The ISO is a wonderful way to stay in the mountains without
the hassle of planning for food and logistics. Let the camp staff take care of logistics and meals while
you enjoy a range of mountain activities and interesting people. This year will focus on conservation
and education activities and children are welcome.

Location: Mountain Studies Institute
Field Station on the edge of Silverton, CO
Cost: Adults:CMC Member $360/session; Nonmember $400
Children ages 6-12: $175/member/$200/nonmember per wk
Children 5 and under: Free
Includes: Campsite, meals, activities at base camp including nature
study (wild flowers, wildlife tracking, geology, birding, star gazing, etc.) and evening campfires. Outstanding food and great views from camp are highlights!
Six rustic cabins (sleep 3) and four RV hook-up sites are available for an additional charge. Cabins : $160/session; RV hook-up: $70/session.
Transportation: Carpools will be coordinated from all over the state. However, the CMC does not provide insurance for carpools and (b) assumes no liability during the carpool process. Carpooling, ride sharing, or anything similar is a private arrangement among the participants, and participants assume the risks associated with this type of travel. It is appropriate that participants who ride in another person's vehicle contribute to the costs incurred by the driver - at least enough to cover fuel costs.
CMCers need to provide: Outdoor equipment for your choice of activities: Hiking, mountaineering, climbing, fishing; and camping equipment, including tent, camp chair, sleeping bag, cot or pad, etc.
Additional Activities:
Participants need to register separately for free CMC hikes and climbs. Choice of daily activities for all abilities, including A-D hikes, rock climbing, fishing, excursions to the nearby sights.
Payment Cancellation Policy
We prefer full payment with registration.
If you are unable to pay in full, send a $50/person non refundable deposit now.
FULL PAYMENT IS DUE BY MARCH 15, 2010.
If you need to cancel, send a written request to: brendaporter@cmc.org .
If you cancel by May 31, 2010, you will receive your payment minus the $50 deposit.
After June 1, 2010, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS. Trip cancellation insurance is recommended in case you may need to cancel after June 1, 2010. You can get trip cancellation insurance at
