The Colorado Mountain Club is Colorado! Founded in 1912 and designed to unite adventure, education and preservation, we represent Colorado 's lifestyle and everything that is great about Colorado . Our mission is to unite the interest and knowledge of students, explorers and lovers of the mountains; collect and distribute Rocky Mountain information representing science, literature, art, and recreation; stimulate public awareness and interest in Colorado, encourage environmental preservation; and make our beautiful, alpine attractions available to all.
As a CMC member, you can hike or climb nearly every day of the week, learn new outdoor skills or hone those you already have, attend a conservation program, help build a new hiking trail or maintain an old one, take a class in geology or botany, enjoy our CMC publications, and experience one of the finest mountaineering libraries in the world.
When you join the Colorado Mountain Club, not only will you receive Member benefits, but our mountains will benefit, too! How? Simply click on the navigation buttons to the left for more specific details.
CMC members can now join 14erWorld for $7.00. Go here to join at the CMC rate.
If you're interested in supporting the broad mission of the Colorado Mountain
Club but are not interested in participating in the Club's recreational

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."
John Muir (1838-1914)
American naturalist |
