Trip Overview

**Trip Full. If you are interested, please call the office at 303-279-3080 option 2 to join the waitlist**

This year's ISO is, for the first time, in Steamboat Springs. Join us to trek up Hahns Peak and to Strawberry Hot Springs. Our basecamp will be the Steamboat Springs KOA. As in past years, attendees will have the option of tent camping, staying in a cabin, or RV'g. The KOA is close to town with regular bus service back and forth for those who want to enjoy lovely downtown Steamboat. Of course we'll have our fine food, fun entertainment, and the camaraderie that defines the ISO.

cabins by riverAccommodations

We will be staying at the Steamboat Springs KOA. There will be tent campsites by the Yampa River included in the price of the trip. You can pay to upgrade to camper cabins (sleeps 3), deluxe cabins (sleeps 4-6 with half or full bath), or RV sites with water and electricity hookups.

  • Upcharge for camper cabin: $75 member, $80 non-member
  • Upcharge for deluxe cabin: $120 member, $130 non-member
  • Upcharge for RV spot: $40 member, $45 non-member

Once you've signed up for the ISO at the camping rate, please contact Linda Ditchkus at or 720-985-8450 if you'd like to arrange for an upgrade to a camper cabin, deluxe cabin, or RV spot. These upgrades are designed and priced for multiple guests, so be sure to let us know if you have specific roommates in mind.

Breakfast, lunch, appetizers at happy hour, and dinner are included in the price of the trip. Meals begin with dinner on Sunday, July 28 and end with breakfast on Friday, August 2. Alcohol is not included.

Level of Activity / Difficulty

We will be doing multiple hikes a day, biking (road and mountain), fishing, and, depending on the river flow, tubing! We will have something for everyone and all ability levels.

All hikes will be rated A-C. Go to to learn more about trip classifications.

Bike trips will range from easy to moderate and will be as long or as short as the group decides together.

The ski resort will be a great backdrop for activities. Hikers will have the option for a free gondola ride down, if needed.
