Trip Description

Slovenia is incredibly clean and environmentally friendly country that is steeped in a rich hiking and climbing culture. The crown jewel of Slovenia, is Mount Triglav, the nation’s highest mountain. On this 14-day travel program, we will start in Ljubljana, Slovenia's vibrant capital city, a great place to savor authentic local food and wine.

After acclimating in Ljubljana, we will begin our excursion to the Kamnik-Savinja Alps  and the stunning Logar Valley before starting a 3-day hut-to-hut hike in the high alpine landscape of Triglav National Park. We will explore alpine waterfalls, and the Bohinj & Bled Lakes. The hikes along the borders of Austria and Italy provide jaw dropping views of the surrounding countries and landscapes. A trip with a perfect blend of hiking, culture and local fare awaits you in autumn 2020.

For those who would like more challenge, we are offering optional climbs to the peaks in Triglav National Park and the Julian Alps.  These will be some demanding optional climbs but worth it. In addition, there are some exciting extensions, so be sure to review the itinerary for full details.
