This is a triple joint event (SM-DN-CWF). For kids and adults of all ages. An easy, fun outing that starts at the Glacier Gorge Trailhead. Of historical interest, Abner Sprague, an early innkeeper, who was considered an early patriarch of Estes Park, came to the area in the late nineteenth century. He acquired great acreage of land including Moraine Park, Glacier Gorge and Loch Vale. As as early owner to the land and its landmarks, Sprague gave names to some of these landmarks which are now U.S. Geological Survey official names. He named these splendid waterfalls after his wife, Alberta - the legacy lasting to this day.
