Details

Enjoy a rare and unique experience in straddling the headwaters of the magnificent Colorado River located at the La Poudre Pass. This River with the apropos appellation "Mother of Waters" is indispensable to the nation for the life-giving waters it supplies for Western States, from Colorado to the Gulf of California. In its volumes of history, it has been called by many names including the Grand River. Starting at the Colorado River Trailhead  the route follows the La Poudre Pass Trail to the La Poudre Pass Ranger Station. The route includes visiting historic sites such as Shipler Park, Lulu City, Little Yellowstone Canyon and the Grand Ditch.  Refreshment stop after outing.
