HAMS 2013 required -
first priority given to HAMS graduates planning the Rainier climb

TH: Mayflower Creek TH

Ascent Route: We’ll be bypassing Mayflower Hill to avoid the avy terrain descending that hill. We’ll take Cooper’s route up Mayflower Creek to Pacific Creek and confront the ridge from just south and east of Mayflower Hill. Then we take a direct line up the west ridge, but drop off the ridge to bypass the class 5 gendarmes.

Descent Route: Depending upon conditions, either reverse the ascent or descend via the north ridge and off of a possibly wend swept west facing saddle off of that ridge.
