RMOTHG MEMBERS ONLY: Recently discovered this lovely, meandering walk along the South Platte, under tangles of cottonwoods and willows. This trail is part of the Chatfield Wetlands Loop of seven miles, but we'll welcome spring break-up of ice on the river as we walk four to five on a mostly flat trail with only 100 ft elev gain. We may choose to wander further. This is a country respite near the city, a gentle, relaxing outing where we still get exercise but can enjoy the river, see evidence of heavy beaver activity, maybe hear coyotes across the river, or spot golden eagles who inhabit the area. Despite being easy, it's a trail worth exploring for taking out-of-state friends, or for adding to your collection of easy hikes or snowshoe outings close by.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
