Mount  Meeker is a Thirteener and one of the 100 highest in Colorado. We will follow the Longs Peak Trail to Chasm Meadow, then rock scramble southwest of the Ships Prow, to the Loft, a broad saddle between Longs and Meeker. We will then turn south to gain Meeker's summit. Fantastic views of the high peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Joe Schultes originally scheduled this trip, but suffered a foot fracture, and asked Bill Stafford to take over as leader.

We will all meet at the Rangers Station at Longs Peak Trailhead.

You will not need an ice ax, helmet, or crampons. (Although some prefer to hike the Class 3 scramble to the loft with a helmet - your choice.)

Bring plenty of water. On the way to the summit, we will not stop at Chasm Lake for refill. (Weather permitting, we may stop on the way down.)

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
