Lion Lakes and Snowbank Lake are a superb destination for scenery in Wild Basin.  The lakes with high peaks Chiefs Head and Mount Alice  close by provide wonderful views.

From the Wild Basin TH, follow the Thunder Lake trail for a bit under 5 miles.  Head more steeply uphill by taking the Lion Lakes trail.  Lion 1 is accessed via the trail.  Lion 2 and Snowbank will require a little route finding not to exceed class 2.

Will be on trail starting at 5:30 am to catch the sunrise and reduce chance of encountering thunder showers later in the day.

These lakes are gorgeous spot in the park - with good conditions, the reward for the trek to reach them is high.
