This mostly wilderness hike will start at the Blue Lake TH and proceed up abandoned logging roads for about 3 miles, then proceed off-trail until treeline is reached.  We will then hike to the top of a steep ridge forming the northern boundary of the Sawmill Creek drainage.  Once in the Fall Creek drainage, we will proceed west, over a pristine alpine landscape to a beautiful unnamed lake at 11,600', situated about 0.8 mile southeast of Clark Peak, the highest in the Rawah Wilderness Area.  "Windy" lake is an unofficial name.  We will relax at the lake for awhile, then bushwhack northeast into the Fall Creek drainage, ultimately intercepting the Blue Lake trail, which we will follow back to the trailhead, completing a unique loop hike.

Must contact leader by email to register.  On-line registrations not accepted.
