Details

We will hike the trail from the Dos Chappell Nature Center starting at 11,540 feet to the upper trail head at 12,152 feet and back.  On June 19, 2013  I observed over 40 different species of subalpine and alpine wildflowers there.  Bring your cameras, water and lunch for the approximately 3 hour hike.  Rain gear is advisable as a sunny day can quickly turn into a stormy day at this elevation.  A Golden Age Pass or fee per 4 occupants/car is required at the entry station.
