Location

New York Lake Trail is in the northwestern Sawatch Range of Colorado in the Holy Cross Wilderness Area within Eagle County. New York Lake Trail is south of Interstate 70, near Eagle and close to Fulford, Colorado. This is a 4.5  mile, strenuous backpack that requires basic climbing skills and is aimed toward fly fishing. Non fishers are welcome.

A detailed email will be swent. Please call the leader to register (Jorge Dominguez 720-675-8740). Fishers, peak baggers and day hikers are welcome. Large cutthroat trout inhabit New York Lake. While the elevation gain/loss is about 800 feet, the route involves exposure, scrambling and scree.
