See the forest through the trees.

This day-long course provides a new and different experience of the
forest.
Led by a Master Instructor from Tree Climbing Colorado, this course will
cover the basics of tree climbing and forest skills. Why climb trees? In the words of experienced tree climbers, “for the adventure, the experience of something new every climb,
the physical challenge, the joy, the opening up of the world.”
Participants will learn
experientially about the knots and the unique climbing systems used by
recreational tree climbers. The course will also introduce participants to
forest ecology and the many careers that involve trees and tree climbing. Recreational tree climbers, ecologists, and arborists will be on hand to answer any questions you might have, as you learn about the forest from the ground up - to the tree tops!

Notes

* This trip is designed specifically for 15-25 year old participants, and is open to all Alpine Start members - Teen Ventures & Young Adults.  It is sure to be fun for all, but is an especially great experiential learning opportunity for high school and college students with an interest in environmental studies.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
