This is a photographic hike sponsored by the Photography Section of the Denver group.  Much of the photography will emphasize birds, and there are many there usually at this time immigrating to the south.  There is also a good chance of seeing Bald Eagles.  The leader is not an expert on birds, but just a bird photographer.  Please bring your cameras and binoculars, if you have them.  It is still a great walk that is mostly level.

If you bring cameras, bring your highest power telephoto lens although there are often many great pix that do not require a telephoto, including pictures of the lake and people fishing.  This has been a crowd pleaser so join us even if you are not a photographer or birding enthusiast.

This is a state park; so there is a fee to get in.  We will probably have some people with passes, but that is not certain.

By the way, I picked Barr Lake for this because "approximately 350 species of birds have been seen at the lake, making it famous on a national and international basis.  Recently, it has gained fame for hosting one of only a few successful bald eagle nests on the front range."  This is from their brochure, and experience bears out their claims of a great place.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
