Hunter’s Full Moon Hike –Friday Night, October 18
Mt. Falcon Park

Come join us to howl at the full moon or just say “awe” at the vistas on Friday Night, October 18, 2013. We will hike about 4.1 miles. The hike will meet at the WEST ENTRANCE to the park at 6:30 pm and begin at 6:45 pm. We can be in the park until 1 hour past sunset so we should finish about 9:30 pm.

We will hike to the ruins of John Walker’s home where we can see the sunset on the west side of the home and the Hunter’s moon rising on the east side of the home. Then onward to the foundation of what was to be John Walker’s gift to the President – a western summer house. Leaving there we will travel the Castle Trail, a dirt road, back to the parking area. We will enjoy scenic vistas and visit historic sites, so bring your water bottles, headlamps/flashlights, light jacket, cameras, tripods and friendly dogs on a leash.

Please sign up for this hike at the www.CMC.org. Please call Sue (303-570-0129) in advance - if you want to bring a friendly dog on a leash, or bring friendly guests without a leash.
