Details

We will go to East Portal for early season snow.  After a quick review on how to conduct a search we will break into teams and practice.  Time permitting, we will do some multi-burial searches too.  You should already know how to operate your beacon.  This is not a substitute for a more formal avalanche class.  Bring your beacon(s) with fresh batteries, shovel, probe, a canvas shopping bag, and a protective container for your beacon.  Limit 8.

Notes

If you are coming from Denver and want to carpool and drive directly to East Portal, then contact the leader.
