Part One: From the 11,990 TH at Loveland Pass, we’ll hike up the steep ridge to Mt. Snitkau at 13,234, then retrace our steps to Pt. 12,915. Part Two, if the weather cooperates and we're up to it, from Pt. 12,915 we’ll head 3/4 of a mile (in the direction of Grizzly D) to Mt. Cupid at 13,117 where we'll have lunch, then take the shortcut trail that skirts along the side of and below Pt. 12,915 to the main trail (or if the shortcut trail seems tricky, we’ll retrace to Pt. 12,915) and head back to TH; or if we decide to forego Part Two and truncate the trip at Pt. 12,915, we’ll head down from there directly to the TH. Approximately five miles and total elevation gain, 1,750' if we go to Cupid; 3 1/2 miles and 1,400 elevation gain, if we don't. Four of the five miles will be above 13,000 feet if we bag the three 13ers.

Almost certainly, we'll either be on snowshoes or micro spikes. Bring both, plus wind gear, including goggles. If either the weather or the terrain prove too troublesome, we'll go to Plan B (TBD).

Should be a worthy early spring training hike.Comestibles afterwards, probably at Tommyknockers in Idaho Spgs. unless we get spooked by the work at the Twin Tunnels.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
