Peak 10 (13,633 feet) is located above Breckenridge. This is an exploratory trip leader has not done this trip before. We will drive towards the top of the Mercury chairlift as far as we can. We'll skin up and ski up, gain the east ridge, and run the ridge to the summit. We'll plan to ski the 4th of July bowl.  The entrance at the top of the bowl is between 40 and 45 degree steep, mellowing to a sustained mid-30s range for the majority of the descent. The mileage and elevation gain listed is an estimate only; It will  depend on the snow line and can range from 5 miles round trip with 2100 feet, to an additional 6 miles and 1100 feet elevation. Bring ski crampons or crampons adjusted to your ski boots. Avalanche gear (beacon, probe and shovel) , and knowledge of their use required.
