Details

The Top Roping Clinic presents the basics of setting up, climbing with and removing top ropes. It covers:
-- Anchor construction for setting top ropes using both natural features and bolted anchors.
-- Using personal protection in order to safely approach exposed areas while setting up the anchors.
-- Procedures for cleaning bolted anchors.
The setting of trad gear for anchors requires its own in-depth coverage and is not covered in this clinic. Rather, it is covered in Rock Leading School.
Prerequisites: Basic Rock School or equivalent experience.
The course consists of one evening lecture and one full-day field trip.
