NOTE: Sign-ups start Tuesday, February 26th at 8 am. At that time the Authorization Code will be removed.
Backpacking School covers all aspects of overnight hiking. A great experience for hikers, climbers, or mountaineers. You will learn about proper equipment, trip planning, site selection, meals, finding water, bear-bagging, leave-no-trace principles, and more. One-night and two-night options for field trips.

Prerequisites: Hiking and Survival Essentials, Hiking Navigation.

SIGN-UP REQUIREMENTS: You must be a current CMC member to sign up for these courses. There will be no Orientation Night. Sign up at www.cmc.org starting on Tuesday, February 26, at 8am. Please sign up for courses only if you are able to attend ALL of the lectures and the field trips. Sign up for courses only if you own, can borrow or purchase the equipment required to take part in the field trips. When you sign up for a course, be sure and check the prerequisites. If you sign up for a course and do not have the required prerequisites, you will have to drop out of the course and be refunded as per the Refund Policy below.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Please note that if you have to cancel within 2 weeks of the 1st class and there is no waitlist or nobody on the waitlist is able to fill your space, there will be no refunds! To withdraw from a course, send an email to bms@cmcboulder.org. Ten percent (10%) of the cost of the course will be withheld for refunds granted if cancellation occurs more than two weeks in advance of the 1st class or if your spot is filled by someone on the waitlist.
