The Best Hikes on the Continental Divide Trail: Colorado is the first pack guide for the Continental Divide Trail published by Colorado Mountain Club Press. Liz Thomas will present a free slideshow and overview of 20 stunning dayhikes and overnight trips in this guide.

The Continental Divide Trail follows the highest mountain range in the continental United States an estimated 800 miles through Colorado, taking hikers through groves of golden aspens, along the shores of snowmelt fed-lakes, and to the rocky summits of 13,000-foot peaks with expansive vistas.

See slides of the high country of Colorado, from Rocky Mountain National Park to the Weminuche Wilderness—the largest wilderness in Colorado. Learn about the more popular and accessible sections of the trail near Denver and Summit County, as well as where to do overnight treks in some of the most remote areas of the state.

The Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC) is the lead national nonprofit partner working with the Forest Service, National Park Service, and the Bureau of Land Management on the management and protection of the Continental Divide Trail. Liz Thomas is among the most experienced female long-distance hikers in the United States, is a writer and speaker, and formerly worked as the Trail Information Specialist at the CDTC.

Copies of The Best Hikes on the Continental Divide Trail: Colorado will be available for purchase at a special event price!
