The intended destination will be The Loch and then an off trail excursion over to Serendipity Pond for lunch and then an off trail descent to two un-named lakes or back around one of the Glacial Knobs to the "winter trail". Since there is a significant off trail component to this snowshoe gaiters and trekking poles are highly recommended.  Depending on weather and avalanche conditions on the day of the snowshoe a different destination may be substituted but the total distance and elevation gain will be approximately the same.

Meeting location for snowshoe will be the RMNP Beaver Meadows Visitor Center in Estes Park at 8:15 AM.  If there are participants from the Denver area that want to join the hike, they can meet at the Highway 36 and Sheridan Park-n-Ride at 7 AM and car pool to Estes Park to meet the other participants.

The pace will be casual and those that are interested can stop in Estes Park after the snowshoe for some refreshments.

Feel free to contact trip leader with any questions.  This is always one of everyone's favorite snowshoe routes and there is just under 6 feet of snow on the trails in RMNP and more snow in the forecast for today (Monday - 3/6/2017).
