Details

This is an  easy and pleasant hike to a beautiful view.    >The goal is to get new members comfortable with the trip sign-up and trip-taking process. We will answer new members' practical questions and can talk as you wish about pace, clothing, gear, etc.

Although this trip is focused on new CMC members, all are invited.  Experienced members can help make new members feel welcome.

Please bring those of the  10 essentials  appropriate to a short, in-town hike.  Wear proper hiking boots.  No jeans or cotton  clothing.  Rain jacket with hood  may  be a good pack item.  We can talk more about all that on trip day.

Notes

We had a beautiful day for this short hike. All hikers were prepared. We reached the summit in 90 minutes and the return trip took 90 minutes as well.
2 guests and 1 member plus me. We slowest person in front to allow her to hike at a comfortable speed. We hope she gained knowledge and confidence about which hikes would suit her.
