We plan to drive to the trailhead on Saturday, June 10th in the morning, hike up to Willow Lake and camp there for the night.

We will have an alpine start by 4am on Sunday, June 11th. We will hike up Falls Creek and climb the Outward Bound Couloir then traverse over to Kit Carson.

We will descend the south face standard route and return via Kit Carson Avenue....then up to Challenger Point then down the standard route back to Willow Lake.

Once we will return to camp, we will tear down tents, pack up and hike out, and drive home.

Meeting at Tejon Park N Ride under I-25 at 9:30am. Then meeting at the Willow Creek TR at 1:30pm.

Notes

We will meet up and carpool down from Colorado Springs. If multiple people in the Denver area sign up, they can carpool together.

Four of us (and Kiefer the dog) were successfull up the Upward Bound Coulior and then east ridge over to Kit Carson. We descended the standard route and used the Kit Carson Avenue back. We had to use our 30m rope and protect 2 snow slopes and 1 icy spot. We were successful up Challenger Point as well and had a nice glissade down.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
