On meeting in Dillon we will drive towards to the town of Keystone and continue past Keystone to Montezuma Road (CO Rd 5). In the winter Saint John's road is closed completely to vehicles, the town of Montezuma has posted “no parking” signs at the beginning of Saints John Road. It is therefore necessary to start at the Peru Creek trailhead parking area.

Depending on recent snowfall, we may have to break trail. Everyone will rotate trail breaking.

If for any reason you need to cancel or contact me after 3pm on the day prior to the hike, please call or txt to inform me. I will not get notification from the CMC that you have cancelled and the parking lot leader will be waiting for you in the morning.

An e mail with final details will be sent out the day prior to the hike. Please check your Junk mail if you do not see the e mail in your In Box. If you have chosen to opt out of notifications from the CMC, please alter this setting as you will not receive e mails from hike leaders.

Dress for Fall/Winter weather in the mountains. Bring snow shoes and know how you are going to attach them to your pack, should we decide to bring them with us , we may well leave them in the car or need to carry them for long periods.
All participants MUST be able to do a MINIMUM of 2 miles per hr / 1000 ft per hour. In an effort to be respectful to other participants if you are unsure if this is an appropriate hike for you irrespective of your rating, please discuss with the leader prior to signing up.
Contact the leader with any medical concerns prior to the hike.

Snack and other breaks will be taken AS A GROUP.
