The pace of the trip will be dictated by the participants, NOT the leader. We will accommodate everyone.
The trailhead is the Deer Creek Trail (10,560 ft), a few miles south of Montezuma, CO.
We follow the road south and slightly west till we reach a beauiful, dramatic open cirque near 11,400. We'll stop for lunch in a small stand of trees with a wonderful view. This will be our turnaround point. Several times I've been in this area, it has been somewhat windy. Please plan on winter conditions with possible wind.
The trip is an out and back moderate snowshoe.
Please let me know privately of any medmical issues or conecerns I should be aware of prior to the trip.
LOOK FOR A PRE-TRIP EMAIL (Monday evening or Tuesday) for a report on trail conditions, weather, any last minute time changes. Thanks -- Kevin
