We will start at the Current Creek trailhead and make a decision about where to ski based on snow conditions.  If there is fresh snow we will go to the area called the Upper 110s, which has south facing open gladed slopes.  We won't be doing anything more than an easy blue run in terms of steepness.  If there isn't fresh snow or if it was sunny for a couple of days, we will head to more easterly facing slopes which are generally more green in steepness.  These slopes can often hold nice snow for a few days.   The pace will be inbetween casual and moderate.  If it is very cold, we won't do any long stops.   If you have avalanche gear please bring it, but I am not requiring it for this trip.  We will probably do a couple of laps if the snow is good.  On the way down you will need to be able to control your speed on a narrow-ish trail.   Snowplowing would work.  I hope some of you Telemark Ski School students from the January 2018 session will sign up.

Please be sure you have skis, poles, skins, boots, water, food, warm clothes, sunglasses, the other 10 essentials.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
