High Line Canal, South Suburban Denver
Kris Ashton kris@aimhigh.net 720.733.6750
As part of my own on-going training for our upcoming adventure in Scotland, I will be doing a series of long walks. This walk along the High Line Canal is an out-and-back walk of 10 miles on flat gravel trail. Note that it may be snow-packed and possibly icy in places depending on the weather between now and then; I won't cancel the hike unless the trail is extremely icy. Participants may walk all or part of the distance, simply be turning back when they wish.Bring plenty of water and a snack if you wish. Check the weather the day before and be prepared with appropriate layers of clothing. Well-behaved dogs on a non-retractable leash are welcome. This hike is OPTIONAL for participants of the Scotland Walk & Barge AT trip.
Meet at 9:00 a.m. outside the front door of the Goodson Recreation Center, 6315 S. University Blvd. Park near the back of the parking lot, leaving the front spots for people using the Rec Center.
