Russ Peterson 720 299-8269,

Climb starts at Urad Mine. We will snowshoe 2.2 miles up Ruby Gulch Trail to roughly treeline.  We will then strike East on shallow sub 25 degree slopes to the bowl between Bard and Robeson.  I skied to the bowl which is above above treeline for recon.  As of February 4th the West facing aspects of the bowl were essentially snow free at treeline.  We will climb the steep west facing slopes to gain the ridge just South of  Robeson peak.

Snow shoes, helmet and microspikes are mandatory.

This is an exploratory trip since I have not climbed above the treeline bowl.

This is a Bobcat trip. Trip went well with great snow for the snow shoes and some tricky footing to make the ridgeline.  Eight of us made the summit shortly after noon and we were back at the trailhead by about 3:00 PM.  Total ascent was 2900' and just shy of 6 miles.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
