The marvelous trails at Curt Gowdy State Park west of Cheyenne are as close in driving time to Fort Collins as many of the familiar trails in Rocky Mountain National Park, especially now with the extra distance  required to reach Estes Park when Big T Canyon is closed to traffic.  For most of our Group’s members this will be a new, special winter venue! Join us as we make a snowshoeing/hiking circuit that will link several of the trails of the park’s “Foothills Trail System” together on a traverse through steep wooded canyons, jagged rocky outcrops, and wind-swept open grasslands.  We’ll plan to visit Hidden Falls, and we expect to stop at the marvelous Stone Temple and perhaps The Chameleon rock features along our route.  Come and learn about these and other the treasures of this park!  Years ago Steve led two CMC winter trips to Curt Gowdy and each participant expressed excitement about snowshoing in this marvelous location.  Register directly with the leaders.  Steve Martin,  ;   Ward Whicker,
