This project will be managed and led by the CMC Stewardship Crew to contact them directly please email

Join the CMC Stewardship Crew to help improve and maintain this popular trail that accesses the South San Juan Wilderness and the Continental Divide Trail near Cumbres Pass in the Southern Part of the state.

This is a great opportunity to visit a remote and beautiful area of the state and provide a valuable service to our public lands at the same time.

No experience necessary, the CMC stewardship crew will provide leadership, tools, and food for the duration of this project.

We will maintain the trail and improve access by improving the trails capacity to drain water, remove trees and other obstructions, construct cairns and trail confidence markers, and conduct a trail condition survey to inventory and track future maintenance needs.  We will set up a basecamp at the trailhead and hike into the worksites each day.

This trip involves volunteer stewardship work with CMC's Stewardship Crew and public land managers. More details to come shortly. To learn more about the CMC stewardship team visit
