Details

The West and Middle Frisco Trails are joined together at the top by a short connector trail that is in really rough shape. Volunteers will close several braided sections of the trail leaving open a single path helping to mitigate the negative effects of erosion that is dumping sediment into the nearby lakes.

All food, tools, and leadership provided by the CMC Stewardship Crew. No previous experience necessary, this is a great opportunity to learn the basics of trail work.

You can access the campsite via car. Access to the work sites does require some backpacking or hiking.  Both camp and work sites are above 11,000'.

Tasks include: Cutting out downed trees and other obstructions, improving the trails capacity to drain water, water bar and check dam construction, and social trail restoration, braided trail restoration.

  • Personal camping equipment(tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc)

  • Day pack

  • Water bottles or reservoir of at least 3 liter capacity
