there are 4 bedrooms w/queen beds, 2 bathrooms. There is space to lay out a pad/sleeping bag in main room if bedrooms are taken. The cabins are very luxurious, like a house. We bring our food and cook our own meals. Share spagetti dinner Fri eve, bring own breakfast & lunch. Possibly do group dinner Sat eve also, depending upon group wishes.

Purpose is to do 2 hikes below, weather permitting. Both hikes are located outside the park. Only time we hike w/in park is Friday afternoon.

Sat climb Sentinel Point, 12,527, a subpeak of Pikes peak. trail is 7.5 mi/2700 gain.Trailhead is a few miles south of the park.  see description below:

Sun hike Dome Rock in Dome Rock State wildlife area, just outside of Mueller. In the 1990's when we lived in Col Sp it was part of the state park, but not now. Hike along scenic creek to destination.  10.5 mi/2000 gain. Drive to the trailhead. Dome rock is closed for wildlife mgt Dec 1 to July 1. Leaders chose this time to get cheaper lodging.
