Location

BLACK BEAR TRAIL IS A NEW TRAIL, OPENED ABOUT Aug 2018.  Meet at Hildebrand Ranch and do a short car shuttle (or leader may arrange a key shuttle) to Deer creek canyon park.

Hike starts at Hildebrand ranch, connects to new trail Black Bear (6.3 mi) and finish at Deer Creek Canyon. Once on Black Bear trail, we cross over a couple of rock ridges, and there's a flat area for 1 mi or so then climb up trails in Deer Creek Canyon and onto Plymouth Mt trails.

This is exploratory because leader has hiked 5 mi of this route from Hildebrand Ranch side, done Deer creek canyon trails on other occasions, but there's a piece in the middle leader hasn't done.

see details below
