Starting from the Jones Pass trailhead we will snowshoe up to the Butler Gulch junction then follow the Butler Gulch trail to roughly 11300'.  We will then follow the sub 25 degree colouir to the pass between Butler Gulch and Hassel Lake.  We will then strike NE to the summit of pt 12317.  Should be a fun snowshoe.  Please prepare for cold weather and bring full facial protection (full face baclava and ski goggles) for the ridgelines.

This is a Bobcat trip. The Bobcats mission is to ensure a variety of challenging CMC trips especially "B" Difficult and "C" hikes and Difficult snowshoes, for our mostly age 50+ constituents. We may sponsor other activities of interst to our members, everything from bike rides to camping. Everything considered the weather was great and the snow was idyllic.  We reached the summit in pretty much freezing conditions, but a great time was had by all!
