Consider this a fun, close effort.  We will start at the Lewis Creek Trailhead taking trails gently uphill through the meadows.  We will then take Bergan Peak Trail leading to steeper switchbacks through dense Lodgepole forest leading to a Ponderosa park and returning to Lodgepole forest now joined by Aspen and Fur trees as we continue to climb.  At the junction of Too Long Trail, we continue up Bergen Peak Trail among Conifer and Aspen trees.  Look along the hillside for blocks of scattered quartz. Bergen Peak Trail stops just below the summit ... we will continue uphill past the radio tower on a faint trail to the summit sign.  We will descend via the Bergen Peak Trail but take Too Long Trail back around through forest switchbacks leading to meadow back to the trail head.

The Bobcats provide a variety of challenging CMC trips each month -- mostly hikes rated B-difficult and C, and difficult Snowshoes -- for our mostly age-50+ constituents.  We coordinate participating leaders, and then publish links to their trips as part of our monthly newsletter.  Our trips are mostly on weekdays and mostly 12 participants or less.  We sponsor any activity of interest to our members, everything from biking to camping.  Although we have members, our trips are non-exclusive.  We welcome all CMC members to sign up for any Bobcat trip regardless of age or Bobcat membership.

NOTE:  This trip was cancelled due to lack of particiaption.  Roster dwindled to only 4 particicpants and then one of the 4 was a no show.  Leader explained to remaining group the hike can proceed under the understanding this was not a CMC Trip (Wildcat, no CMC liabilies.)

Beautiful day witn a nice hike.  Total time was 4.25 hours.  Windy but the route id very protected by trees and wind not felt while hiking.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
