This is a Adv I back country ski trip.  Requires Blue downhill skiing.  Required equipment Beacon, probe and shovel.  Requires AT, telemark or splitboard with skins.   No skinny skies!  No leather ski boots. 

We will skin Butler Gulch to the Saddle between Hassel Lake and Butler Gulch.  If snow conditions are good we will ascend point 12109 and ski down to Hassell Lake.  We will then climb back to the saddle and descend one of the meadows back to the trailhead. 


Meet at the Wooly Mammoth parking lot off I-70 at Exit 250 across from the Exxon gas station, Section BB. Please arrive 10 min early for prompt departure.

It was an incredible powder day.  The northern aspects were amazing skiing.  We modified the trip to do extra powder laps rather than making the summit.  A great time was had by all!
