Jim Guerra, 720-320-7262,

We will start at the Little Scraggy Trailhead.  The trailhead is in the Pike National Forest, 13.7 miles south of Pine Junction and US285, on Pine Valley Road (it becomes Deckers Road).  In Google Maps the trailhead is searchable as "Parking lot for Colorado Trail access" in Pine CO.  There is a $7 parking fee.  Here is a link to the trailhead in Google Maps:

Much of the trail is along a forest service road that will have little traffic since the gate is locked at Deckers Road.  At the base of Long Scraggy Peak, we will leave the forest service road and follow a less developed use trail up the north slope to the summit of Long Scraggy Peak.
