Terry Ploski, (303) 748-3748,

Bring traction devices - yaktracks, microspikes or crampons - for the snowy and ice packed trail segments. I also recommend bringing trekking poles to provide balance on the off trail segments, to the summit of Mount Galbraith. The challenges include subfreezing temperatures, windy conditions and off trail travel. Effective clothing includes a warm base layer, insulating layer and a waterproof shell, as protection against the wind, snow and icy conditions. We will ascend the 1.7 mile Nightbird Gulch Trail to the Mount Galbraith Loop trail length of 1.6 miles, with a departure from the trail to achieve the summit of Mount Galbraith and then descend the 1.7 mile Nightbird Gulch Trail. Total distance of 5.0 miles with trip duration of 3 - hours. Call with any questions.

We enjoyed the sundrenched south facing slopes of Mount Galbraith. We achieved the shoulder of the peak with epic views of Lookout Mountain, Green Mountain, downtown Denver and the local Coors Brewery.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
