From either the Glacier Gorge Trailhead or the Bear Lake Trailhead will head up the "Winter Trail" to The Loch in RMNP.  Depending on the weather conditions on the day of the snowshoe and how everyone in the group is doing we will also go to Mills Lake before descending back down to Glacier Gorge.  The total distance if we go to both lakes will be approximately 6.5 miles all of which will be on established trail.

It can be extremely windy on both lakes so be sure to pack warm clothing and something to break the wind.

If Rocky Mountain National Park is still closed due to the government shutdown a different destination will be substituted with a similar distance and elevation gain.  If we end up going to a different destination snowshoes may not be needed but microspikes will definately be needed.

Refreshment stop in Estes Park after the snowshoe for those that are interested.

Feel free to contact the trip leader with any questions.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
