Payne Creek Trail/Brookside McCurdy Trail Trailhead, is located in Bailey off Hwy 285, at 1659 Co Rd 64, Bailey, CO 80421, http://https://goo.gl/1D93oM

Meet at the Fort pull-out, Morrison/Evergreen exit on Rt 285 South at 7:00 am for a not later than 7:15 departure.

We will stop at the Bailey Loaf N Jug, just before we reach the TH, 173 Bulldogger Rd/Cty Rd 43A, turning right and up at the stoplight.

Upon leaving the Loaf N Jug, continue south on Hwy 285 for 3.1 miles, turning left onto Cty Rd 64 (Conoco on the right and  Moore Lumber Ace Hardware on the left).  Cty Rd 64 also is FS Rd 109.    Drive 2.0 miles to the Brookside-McCurdy/Payne Creek Trailhead sign, indicating parking lot on the left.

The approximate 55-mile round trip will require a carpool contribution: (55 x .30) = $16.00 / the number of people in the car, including the driver, rounded.  Please bring small bills.

Details

We'll go about a mile in from the Payne Creek/Brookside TH outside Bailey, then turn left to follow Payne Creek Trail up.  Our goal is about 4.5+ miles in from the TH, top out at 9900,' have lunch, and then back again. 



Please bring the 10 essentials  appropriate to  the weather.    



We will send out an email a day or two before with trail conditions.

*This is a Bobcat trip.
