Jim Guerra, 720-320-7262,

Goat Mountain Trail is a 7 mile out and back trail  in the Littleton / Waterton Canyon area that features beautiful wild flowers (at the right time of year), is not well known so we are not likely to encounter any other people on the hike, and has great views of southwest Denver – all according to AllTrails.  The hike starts up Waterton Canyon from the trailhead parking lot and continues about a 1 mile up the Canyon along the road to where the pipeline crosses the S. Platte River.  From this point, the trail climbs steeply to the north up to a ridgeline which we follow to the summit.  The hike includes steep sections, rock scrambling, and off trail hiking.  There are five false summits that are deceptively misleading.  Lunch at the summit.
