Denver Group Conservation meeting hosted by Steve Bonowski with special guest, CMC Conservation Director Julie Mach.

Format as follows:

1) Some quick introductions of who is present when we start. If you arrive later, that's OK.

2) updates from Julie for statewide issues, stewardship, the wilderness conference (see attached flyer with the new dates). What's going on that may affect your favorite hiking places??

3) some brief Denver Conservation updates. If other Groups have updates, this is the time to mention what you're doing. Contact either Julie or myself if you're not able to attend, but want a shout-out.

4) Letter writing party for the Colorado Outdoor Economy and Recreation (CORE) Act now in Congress. CORE would establish a number of new wilderness areas in Summit and Eagle Counties, along with special recreation areas. Camp Hale as the first Historic Legacy site; protection for Thompson Divide outside of Carbondale; and wilderness additions in the San Juans. Writing materials will be provided.

Light snacks and water will be provided. Sorry, no pizza this time. Feel free to bring your own edibles and other beverages.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
