Note - The Peru Creek Road is closed due to avalanche and power line repairs. We will plan to hike the 4 miles and 1000' elevation gain up the road to the trailhead, and head directly up only to the top of the glissade route if our energy is sufficient. Snowshoes recommended.

From the trailhead at Shoe Basin mine, hike up to Argentine Pass and scramble up the ridge to Argentine Peak. We will follow the Continental Divide towards Decatur Mountain, and have a great glissade (optional) down from the saddle to rejoin the trail. We may need to cross steep snowfields.

Each participant is expected to carry all 10+ Essentials.

Ice axe and related skills are recommended for optional glissade.

Passcode is same as all my past trips. If you have not hiked with me before, contact me via email to provide recent experience or let me know that you have a C hiker classification.

I like to keep the whole group within yelling distance pretty much all the time, so if you are a free-spirited wanderer, this may not be the trip for you.

Social stop at Tommyknockers in Idaho Springs apre hike.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
